It's what it is...

I love just taking a break from the world and reflect and be collective, listen to some music and think about things. I was the same way. You can only learn so much from school and books, there's plenty we have to learn from ourselves and others, especially ourselves. And sometimes that involves just stopping and taking a look around and listen and pay attention to others and again ourselves. If you think about it, we are our own learning tools, our own teachers/professors. If that makes sense.
Sometimes even great people didn't worry too much about their grades. I've been reading "John Lennon: The Life" and he didn't even worry as much about his grades except at least passing certain things, but you have to know the balance in life. One of my favorite things to do lately is just go outside in the backyard and soak up the sun a bit (of course wear sunblock) and listen to my music close my eyes...that's the time I'm most reflective and collective. I'll leave one earphone in and the other so I can still hear the birds, I'm able to see the birds fly overhead, I can smell the sweet flowers and blooms. It's a great and relaxing feeling. You have to be able to slow down and take things in. I thank God everyday for the beauty and letting me be able to appreciate it. If we don't appreciate what's around us we forget all else the even the most important things. We tend to let others and time fly by and not take heed in anything. It's really shame when you think about it. The beauty is all around why not be able to take it in and to just think about things?
I trust people too and I know that they will hurt me, it's happened just as you've said. But if you can't enjoy life and take it for what it is, what's the point?
You miss the little things, the beautiful and simple things.
