I read the news today oh boy....
Just heard from yesterday on CNN,
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2010/08/20/baldwin.ft.benning.troops.return.cnn
that by the end of the month there should be about 3,000 soldiers coming home! There were other soldiers who just recently came home, hopefully by the end of the month this means no more war and there may be peace. This could be the beginning, a new start, a new hope. I hope all 3,000 I believe I heard they were in a non-combat position, will be coming home safe. Lord be with those who suffer from post tramtic syndrom or any pain.
But Lord let them come home and be with their friends and family and their loved ones.
Please let this war be over....let's really have a great Christmas this year (even though that's miles away) for all of those families and children especially who have had to be without their mom or dad or wife or husband, let's really have something to celebrate about.
I couldn't be happier with the news and I pray it follows through.
If we don't end war, war will end us.
H. G. Wells
In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons.
Herodotus
Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.
Ernest Hemingway
And I like this one..."Sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come."
Carl Sandburg
Think about it, you can't have a war if no one shows up.
To anyone if anyone reads this, thank you.

Love this song and love Toby Keith
As an Army Veteran, I wish I could tell you this will all be over soon. It's great that these 3,000 troops will be home soon but there are others who have just recently been deployed overseas (friends of mine). I always find it touching when people support the troops. It doesn't matter to me if people support the war, what matters most are the Troops & their safe return & the end to constant deployments. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
