Leading a parade of hurt...

"Every one a drum major leading a parade of hurts, marching with our bitterness. And one day-the armies of bitterness will all be going the same way. And they'll all walk together, and there'll be a terror."
The Grapes of Wrath

I like this quote and thought I'd share it because if you think about it, it's true.
Everyone has their pain and suffering, everyone either shows it, hides it, or deals with it in different ways. And one day we will all walk together, we will share each others company. That's why we should listen to the music and sounds of the drums and piccolos now rather than later when the parade is all over and all you're stuck with is the echoes in your mind or broken recordings. It's not too late, there's still time to make it and maybe it will be difficult and impossible for some to change it to something more along the lines of someone else's liking or a happier tune, but we can at least be there for each other and help each other get through those difficult times. So let's stop plugging our ears and putting headphones and ear plugs in, and listen to each other, there's always a common beat if you listen for it.
